What is Progeniq’s HPC Efficiency & Effectiveness Assessment?
The HPC (High Performance Computing) Efficiency & Effectiveness Assessment is an on-site Health Check for your studio’s render-farms, data-centers and research labs. We head down for a few days to where you are to analyse your computational productivity level. We will then generate a report based on the current infrastructure, propose how it can be better, produce a gap analysis and lay out the possible cost savings upon such a change.
Our aim is always to help you achieve the greatest operational efficiency and effectiveness possible for significant cost savings.
What else is there to this Health Check?
Continuous infrastructure optimization and monitoring services will be implemented once the proposed infrastructure gets the green light. The RenderBoost Optimized HPC Infrastructure Service consists of month-by-month monitoring and renting of hardware acceleration boards.
Our expert personnel will spend regular time on-site with your staff to ensure your renderfarm is always running at optimal capacity, leveraging both CPU and accelerator technologies. When spike in compute requirements arrive during crunch-time, Progeniq will dynamically increase the number of hardware accelerators to bump up the render capacity of your servers, and remove them when they are no longer needed.
This ensures your animators always get the minimum turnaround time for renders possible even in the tightest of deadlines, while you don’t need to spend a massive amount of money to build out a huge renderfarm.
